Wednesday, May 16, 2018. On this date, at approximately 12:05 PM City Police were detailed to the area of Douglas Street and Stryker Street for a report of fawn trapped in a storm drain. Upon their arrival, they located a fawn that is believed to have been washed down the hill as a result of recent heavy rain. The fawn had fallen into the storm drain which was approximately 5 feet deep. DET. Albani was able to get down into the storm drain and removed the fawn. PTL Bast then transported the fawn to the Mercer County Wildlife Center in Hopewell Township to be treated and cared for.

Friday, May 18, 2018. On this date, at approximately 6:10 AM, City Police were called to Fine Food and Flowers located at 76 Bridge Street, for a theft complaint. Police were advised that during the early morning hours the daily delivery of bread had been taken. This is an ongoing issue at various locations throughout the downtown area. Police are asking for assistance. If during the early morning hours you see anyone acting suspicious near area businesses to contact City Police at 609-397-3132 or call 9-1-1.

Tuesday, May 01, 2018. On this date, at approximately 9:10 PM, PTL Bast conducted a motor vehicle stop of a 2011 Ford Fusion being operated by John Cranstoun (39 Male from Chambord Court in Hamilton NJ). Cranstoun was found to be operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Cranstoun was transported back to Police Headquarters where he was processed for the arrest. Cranstoun was charged with DUI, Reckless Driving, Speeding, and Failure to Maintain Lane. Cranstoun was given a court date of May 03, 2018 at 4:30PM and released to a friend.

Friday, May 04, 2018. On this date, at approximately 8:00PM, SGT Gramlich conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2015 Hyundai being operated by William Eliseo Torres (44 Male from Kerper Street in Philadelphia PA). Torres was ultimately found to have an outstanding traffic warrant issued by East Windsor Municipal Court for Failure to Appear with a bail amount of $164.00. Torres was taken into custody and transported to Police Headquarters where he was processed for the arrest. Torres was released on his own recognizance and given a new court date of May 07, 2018 at 2:30 PM.

Friday, May 04, 2018. On this date, at approximately 10:30 PM, SGT Gramlich conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2018 Audi being operated by Jesse Embry (27 Male from North Commerce Square in Robbinsville NJ). Embry was found to be operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Embry was transported to Police Headquarters where he was processed for the arrest. Embry was charged with DUI, Speeding, Reckless Driving, Failure to Keep Right and Failure to Maintain Lane. Embry was given a court date of May 17, 2018 at 5:00PM and released to a friend.

Upon conducting field sobriety testing, Romano was subsequently charged with DUI and transported to headquarters, where he was processed for the arrest. Romano was charged with DUI, Careless Driving, Failure to Stop and Failure to Keep Right, pending Court.
- The annual famous Delaware River Towns Chamber of Commerce Shad Fest was held from 12:00PM until 6:00PM on Saturday, April 29, 2018 and Sunday, April 30, 2018 in downtown Lambertville. There was a great turnout on Saturday; however, on Sunday the weather did not cooperate very well, which seemed to keep some people away. During the 2 day festival, Lambertville City Police answered approximately 20 calls for service related to the festival. The calls ranged from assisting at EMS related calls, lost/found property, minor motor vehicle crashes, minor disputes and several parking complaints. Fortunately there were no serious emergencies or crimes related to the festival. The Lambertville City Police Department members look forward to seeing you at next year’s event.
