On Sunday, March 10, 2019, at approximately 3:30 PM, DET. Matthew Bast Iconducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2005 Nissan for speeding.  The driver, Andy Torres a 20 year old male from Federal Street in Trenton NJ, and passenger Sofia Ocasio, a 20 year old female from Sandy Lane in Ewing NJ, were subsequently found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance.  Both Torres and Ocasio were arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Danger Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  In addition, Torres was also issued motor vehicle summons for Speeding and Possession a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Motor Vehicle.  Both subjects were released ROR and given a court date of March 20, 2019 at 1:00PM.    

Case #19002163

On Sunday, March 10, 2019 at approximately 10:50PM, LT. Robert Brown conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2013 Chevrolet Pickup.  The driver, Matthew Peck a 28 year old male from Hart Avenue in Hopewell NJ was subsequently found to be Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol.  Hart was arrested and processed for the arrest at Police Headquarters.  Peck was charged with Driving Under The Influence, Failure to Stop, Operating a Vehicle with a Suspended Registration and Careless Driving.  Peck was released to a family member and given a court date of March 20, 2019 at 1:00PM.

Case # 19001729

On Monday, February 25, 2019, at approximately 2:55 PM, SGT. Memolo was detailed to the intersection of Bridge Street and Route 179 for a motor vehicle crash.  iA 17 year old female from West Riverwoods Drive in New Hope PA, was traveling north on State Highway 165 in a 2015 Nissan Sentra. The juvenile approached the intersection of Bridge Street and Route 179 with intent to make a left turn onto Bridge Street. Armand Christopher Jr, a 63 year old male from Sandy Ridge Mt Airy Road in Stockton NJ, was driving a 2016 Subaru Legacy south on Route 179.  As Christopher approached the intersection, the juvenile turned in front of him causing the 2 vehicles to collide.  This collision caused the juvenile’s vehicle to crash into the traffic light stanchion causing the traffic light to fall onto the roadway.  The juvenile sustained a minor injury to her knee but refused medical treatment.  The juvenile was issued a summons for Failing To Yield the Right of Way.  SGT. Memolo is investigating. 

Case #19001969

On Tuesday, March 05, 2019 at approximately 8:20AM, PTL. Weber arrested Michael Pidgeon, a 52 year old male from Lambertville, on an outstanding warrant issued by The Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office for Failure to Appear in Court on an Aggravated Assault charge.  Pidgeon was taken into custody and processed for the arrest.  Pidgeon was then transported to and turned over to the Hunterdon County Sherriff’s Department of Corrections to be lodge in jail.

Case # 19001386

 

On Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at approximately 11:50 PM DET. Matthew Bast conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 1999 Honda Accord for a license plate light not being illuminated, altered exhaust and altered suspension.  During the traffic stop the driver, Justin Mitman, a 28 year old male from Ford Road in Bristol PA was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest.  The warrant was issued in 2008 from Washington Township (Warren County).  The warrant was a result of Underage Driving While Intoxicated with $500.00 Bail.  During further investigation, Mitman was found to have a Suspended PA License.  Mitman was also in Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Drug Paraphernalia.  Mitman was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters to be processed. Mitman was charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Violation of Touring Privileges and Contempt of Court.  Mitman was given a court date of February 20, 2019 at 5:00PM and released to a licensed driver.

Information

Residents are reminded that all dogs must be kept on leash, when off their own premises, at all times.  Lambertville Police have received complaints and will be enforcing the City Ordinance in regard to unleashed dogs.  This includes the area known as the Tow Path.

On Friday, February 22, 2019, at approximately 9:25 PM, City Police received a report of a blue Chevrolet pick-up being driven erratically and speeding in the area of Hancock Street.  A short time later SGT. Michael Gramlich located a vehicle matching this description.  SGT. Gramlich conducted a motor vehicle stop of the 2015 Chevrolet pick-up on Washington Street at the intersection of York Street.  The driver, Patrick F Leary, a 24 year old male from North Main Street Lambertville NJ, was found to be driving while intoxicated.  Leary was taken into custody and processed for the arrest.  Leary was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Careless Driving and Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle.  Leary was released to a friend and given a court date of March 07, 2019 at 5:00PM.

On Sunday, February 03, 2019 at approximately 9:35 PM PTL. Lauren Balaity conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2010 Honda Civic for failing to stop for a red light.  During the traffic stop the driver, June Paci a 63 year old female from Kite Court in Lawrenceville NJ, was suspected of being intoxicated.  June Paci was arrested and transported back to headquarters to be processed. June Paci was charged with Driving Under the Influence, Refusal to Submit to Chemical Testing, Refusal of Consent of Breath Testing and Careless Driving.  Paci was given a court date of February 20, 2019 at 1:00PM 

Case # 19001130

On Tuesday, February 05, 2019 at approximately 6:15 PM SPO. Tyler Clark investigated the theft of a Predator Generator Model 4000 from a residential construction site on York Street.  The unknown subject(s) unlawfully entered the building and removed the generator sometime between January 21, 2019 and February 05, 2019.  Investigation is ongoing.
