CASE #18005363
On Tuesday, July 03, 2018 at 08:35AM, City Police were detailed to a residence on York Street for a reported burglary.  The victim reported that during the night time hours, someone entered her unlocked residence and took her purse from within.  DET. Albani conducted a search of the area and found the purse which had been discarded in the area.  Upon return of the purse it was reported that several items were missing from inside including the keys to her vehicle.  DET. Albani is investigating.    

CASE #18005378
On Tuesday, July 03, at approximately 11:10PM, City Police were detailed to York Street for a reported stolen vehicle.  The owner described the vehicle as a blue Nissan Juke and it was last seen parked on the street at approximately 5:00PM.  It is believed that this incident is connected to the above incident.  This investigation is ongoing. 

CASE #18005396
On Wednesday, July 04, 2018 at approximately 2:00PM City Police were detailed to the intersection of State Highway 179 and State Highway 29 for a reported of a 2 vehicle motor vehicle crash where the striking vehicle left the scene.  Responding officers received an update that the striking vehicle was followed by a witness and was now stopped on Swan Street.  DET. Albani located the driver, Patrick Stanton a 58 year old male from Everturn Lane in Levittown PA.  During DET. Albani’s investigation, it was determined that Stanton was under the influence of an intoxicating liquid or drug.  Stanton was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters.  Stanton was processed for the arrest and charged with; Driving under the influence, Reckless driving, Leaving the scene of an accident, Failure to report an accident and Possession of an open container of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.  Stanton was released to a friend and given a court date of July 19, 2018.  There were no injuries to the other vehicle passengers.

On Thursday, July 05, 2018 at approximately 10:00PM, Officer Matthew Bast conducted a motor vehicle stop on Elvin Cruz, 28 year old male from Moore Street in Camden NJ.  Cruz was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant issued out of Camden City, NJ. for theft related charges.  Officer Bast took Cruz into custody and transported him back to Police Headquarters.  Camden City Police were contacted who authorized the release of Cruz ROR and he was given a new court date of July 11, 20018. 

CASE #18005523
On Saturday, July 07, 2018 at approximately 10:20PM, Officer Lauren Balaity conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle being driven by Clinton Ndegwa, a 22 year old male from Watson Avenue in Bristol PA.  Ndegwa was ultimately found to have an active arrest warrant issued by Medford Township NJ for failure to appear in court.  Ndegwa was taken into custody and transported to Police Headquarters where he was processed for the arrest.  Medford Township Police were contacted and authorized Ndegwa to be released ROR and given a new court date of July 11, 2018.  Officer Balaity also charged Ndegwa with Speeding, and Nonresident touring privileges expired.
