On March 24, 2018 at approximately 1:50AM LT. Brown conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle being operated by Severiano Cortez from North Union Street Lambertville NJ.  Cortez was subsequently arrested for DUI.  Cortez was issued Motor vehicle Summons for Driving Under the influence, Refusal to Submit to a Breath Test, Failure to Stop, Failure to Exhibit a Valid Driver License, Open Container of an Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle and Careless Driving.  Cortez was also issued a Court Summons for possession of Marijuana.  Cortez was released to a family member and given a court date of April 19, 2018 at 5:00PM.

  • Case # 18002327
On March 30, 2018 at approximately 10:15AM City Police were called to the Lambertville Station Restaurant for a report of a theft.  Sometime during the nighttime hours, items that have been delivered to the restaurant have gone missing over the past several nights.  At this time there are no suspects. PTL. Bast is investigating.

On March 03, 2018 at approximately 01:00 hours, LT. Brown conducted a motor vehicle stop of a blue Dodge Ram pick-up.  Subsequent to the stop, the driver, Robert Eick (22y/o male from Rt 179 Lambertville) was found to be intoxicated.  Lt. Brown arrested Eick and transported him to Police Headquarters.  Eick was processed for the arrest and given summons for DUI, Expired Vehicle Registration, and Careless Driving.  Eick was released to a family member and given a court date of April 05, 2018.


  • Case # 18001873
On March 14, 2018 at approximately 17:23 hours, Officer Balaity and Officer Bast served Nelson Hixson II (43 y/o male from York Street Lambertville) with an arrest warrant.  Hixson had an outstanding arrest warrant issued by Lambertville Municipal Court for failure to appear in court on prior driving while suspended charges.  Hixson was taken into custody while at his residence on York Street in Lambertville.  Hixson was processed for the arrest and was able to post his bail of $1000.00.  Hixson was released and given a new court date of March 15, 2018. 


  • Case # 18001902
 On March 15, 2018 at approximately 18:08 hours, Officer Bast was detailed to the City Market,located at 74 North Main Street for a reported theft.  An undisclosed amount of money was reportedly taken from a “Tip jar” located within the business.  A suspect has been identified, no arrests have been made; however, the investigation is ongoing at this time.
LCPD Case #18000709

Sunday January 29, 2018, New Jersey State Police Hamilton contacted this agency in reference to a female subject they had in custody for an outstanding warrant issued by Lambertville Municipal Court. Elandra Johnson (42, Ewing NJ) was taken into custody by NJSP after a traffic stop, and was turned over to this agency. Johnson was unable to post bail, therefore Ptl. Wurpel transported Johnson to the Hunterdon County Jail.

All suspects are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
CASE #18001012

On February 9, 2018, at 1857 hours, Sgt Memolo was detailed to York Street, for a reported stolen vehicle.  The victim advised his Mitsubishi Galant was missing.  He stated he parked the vehicle in front of his residence and gathered some paperwork from it.  He accidently dropped the key on the ground or floor of the vehicle.

The vehicle was subsequently recovered in West Amwell the next morning and appeared undamaged.  No suspects have been located at this time.   Investigation pending.

Wednesday January 18th, 2018, Sergeant Anthony Memolo took custody of Ibnmaalik Bingham (34, Trenton NJ) for an outstanding traffic warrant for Driving while Intoxicated. Bingham was transported by Sgt. Memolo to the Hunterdon County Jail in lieu of bail.

Case # 18000459
Friday January 19th, 2018, Justin Lane (35, Lambertville NJ) turned himself in to Police on an active criminal warrant issued by the Lambertville Municipal Court. Lane was unable to post bail, and was transported to the Hunterdon County Jail.

Case # 18000537
Sunday, January 22, 2018, Katherine Yarrow (37, Lambertville NJ) was arrested for DUI/DWI. Lieutenant Brown conducted a traffic stop for a burned out headlight, and subsequent to his investigation, Yarrow was taken into custody. Yarrow was charged with DUI/DWI, Maintenance of Lamps, and Careless Driving. Yarrow was released to a friend after processing.

Case # 18000538
Sunday January 22, 2018 at approximately 2:22am, Lambertville Police responded to Walker’s Wine and Spirits for a noise complaint of loud banging noises. Sergeant Anthony Memolo arrived and observed the front glass door was shattered, but still in the door frame. Sgt. Memolo and surrounding Police agencies scoured the area in search for possible suspects. No entry was made into the business, and nothing appeared to be missing. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Police immediately.

Case # 18000552
Monday January 22nd, 2018, Melanie Gilmour (52, Stockton NJ) arrived at Police Headquarters for an unrelated request. While speaking to Administrative Staff, they became concerned by the suspicion of Gilmour being intoxicated, and haven driven to Headquarters with a young child in the vehicle. Detective Albani investigated, and ultimately arrested Gilmour for DUI/DWI. Additional charges are pending.
