Suez Remaining Construction Work - 04/09/2018

Below is detailed work Suez will start the week of 4/9/18 (Night Work) to complete construction that was started at the end of 2017. 
Remaining Water Main Construction Work:

South Main Street:

  1. Abandon connection to 4” main at Swan (remove tee, install spool piece, and transition couplings)
  2. Abandon connection to 4” main at Ferry (remove tee, install spool piece, and transition couplings)
  3. Restore grass around newly installed fire hydrant (Northeast corner of S main and Mt. Hope St. Intersection)
  4. Bury existing 4” valves on abandoned 4” water main (remove top portion of valve box/lid, fill bottom portion of valve box with dense graded aggregate).
  5. 34 S. Main St (Swan Creek Gallery); Restore sidewalk around curb valve box.  
  6. Roadway restoration as necessary.
Bridge Street: (Notice Attached)

  1. Install additional 8” pipe north and south of the cross to tie-in points at North and South Main St. as per SUEZ sketch.
  2. Complete tie-in/cut and cap at Bridge and S/N Main St. (two (2) tie-ins).
  3. Complete water service line work on Route 179. This work may require a new water main crossing across Route 179.  Need new sketch.  
  4. Switch 5 services on Route 179 (East Side) after item 3 above is completed.
  5. Switch (1) services on Rout 179 (west side) around STA. 1+00.  
  6. Complete cut and cap existing 4” water main at Bridge at project origination (station 0+00)
  7. Abandon the existing 4” water main. Bury existing 4” valves on abandoned 4” water main (remove top portion of valve box/lid, fill bottom portion of valve box with dense graded aggregate).
  8. Restoration of sidewalk and roadway as necessary.
  9. SUEZ clarify if any protection bollard need to be installed around new fire hydrants.
Paving: (Suez to finalize timeline with ETG on shared restoration efforts estimated completion by October) Suez can begin restoration on its on for York between George and N Main St and S Main St between ferry and Swan in May.

Flushing: April 9-25 mostly evenings in the center of town days at Calton and Woodcrest.
