 Milling and Paving

Project:   Route 179, Route 165 to Route 31/202

Route/Direction/MP:  Route 179 / NB & SB / MP 0.38 to 7.34    

Municipality/County:  City of Lambertville and the Townships of West Amwell & East Amwell / Hunterdon County 

Anticipated Traffic Impacts: The Contractor will start the Mill and Pave of Route 179 NB Shoulder/Lane from MP 1.38 to MP 7.34 with a shoulder closing for Paving and a Flagging Operation for paving lanes.

The Contractor will continue with same setup for paving Route 179 SB Shoulder/Lane.  For Two Lane section of Route 179 NB/SB from MP 0.38 to 1.38 the Contractor will be closing single lane each direction to perform the Mill and Pave operation.  All other Safety improvement work will be performed with Shoulder closing.

Description of New Traffic Pattern:  Temporary Closures only

Proposed Start Date of New Traffic Pattern: Monday March 19, 2018 (was Thursday March 8, 2018)

Any other comments: Contractor will begin installation of construction signs with temporary shoulder closings throughout the project. This will begin on or about March 8, 2018.

Choice of Law:  Jurisdiction

WEB & SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY

Policy

Based upon the City of Lambertville’ interest and expectation in deciding who may “speak” and what is “spoken” on behalf of the “City of Lambertville” on social media sites, the following policy has been established regarding the use of all social media in conveying City information.  The guidelines set forth are for the use, creation and presence of the City, its employees, staff and agents.

The City of Lambertville shall approval  social media technologies that may be suitable for use by municipal departments, affiliated boards, commissions and authorities.

The City of Lambertville shall have a single presence on social media sites deemed appropriate for use.  Requests for individual departmental or agency pages or sites must be approved by the City Administrator. 

All official City of Lambertville presence on social media sites or services is considered an extension of the City’s information networks and is governed by all policies applicable to the use of municipal computers and electronic media, as well as, the municipal internet access and use guidelines.

Departments that use social media are responsible for complying with applicable federal, state and county laws, regulations and policies.  This includes adherence to established laws and policies regarding copyright, record retention, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), the Open Public Records Act (OPRA) N.J.S.A. 47:1A-1 et seq., First Amendment privacy laws, Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA), otherwise known as the “Sunshine Law” and information security policies established by the City of Lambertville, its administrators, departments and governing body.  The City shall download, on a monthly basis, all social media posts, comments and account information as a permanent archive.

Whenever possible, links to more information should direct users back to the City’s official website for more information, forms, documents or online services necessary to conduct business with the City.

Employees representing the City of Lambertville on social media outlets must identify themselves by name and when relevant, by role in the City of Lambertville’ municipal government.  All municipal policies are applicable to interactions on social media sites when acting in an official capacity and representing the City of Lambertville. 

The City shall monitor content on all social media sites to ensure adherence to the Social Media Policy for appropriate use, message and branding consistent with the goals of the City of Lambertville.

The City may have the authority to remove any information that violates this Social Media Policy or Terms of Service (TOS) at any time from any municipal social media site in accordance with archiving and retention requirements.  See section below entitled “Prohibited Content.”  Once removed, an e-mail will be sent to the City Administrator’s Office for notification.

Local non-profit organizations may have their local events posted on the City’s website, public access channel or social media outlets by obtaining prior approval from the City Administrator or their designee.  It is solely at their discretion whether an event should be allowed to be placed on the City’s website, public access channel or social media outlets.

Upon request and at the sole discretion of the City of Lambertville, the City may create a Facebook event for sponsored or co-sponsored events.  Co-sponsored events are defined as events hosted by third party organizations which take place at a municipal facility (i.e. parks, recreation centers, schools, etc.).  For community events that are neither sponsored nor co-sponsored by the City of Lambertville, flyers may be posted on the website and social media accounts, but events on social media will not be created.

Prohibited Content

  • The following is prohibited and subject to removal:
  • Comments not topically related to the particular post being commented upon.
  • Comments that promote, foster or perpetuate discrimination on the basis of creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, 
  • physical or mental disability or sexual orientation.
  • Comments that include vulgar, offensive, threatening or harassing language, personal attacks or unsupported accusations.
  • Obscene or sexual content or links to obscene or sexual content.
  • Illegal activity or encouragement of same.
  • Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems.
  • Comments from children under thirteen (13) years of age cannot be posted in order to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).  By posting on a City of Lambertville media site, users acknowledge that they are at least thirteen (13) years old.
  • Content that violates a legal ownership interest of any other party.

Applicability

This policy shall apply to all municipal departments and employees, as well as, any affiliated government or non-government agency or official permitted by the City of Lambertville to post on its social media sites.
