The Office of the Registrar is open from 9 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Appointments are not necessary, however you are required to bring identification with you!

When applying for a marriage license, you must bring a witness who is 18 years of age or older. You must be able to provide identification, which includes proof of residency. Acceptable forms of identification include: State of New Jersey Digital Drivers' License or Identification, or United States Passport with a utility bill (must be recent).

When applying for a certified copy of a birth certificate, marriage certificate or death certificate, you must be able to provide identification and proof that you are entitled to that information. Your digital drivers license will be satisfactory identification if you are requesting your personal information. To obtain a copy of a death certificate, you will need to provide a link to the decedent. Click here for a the form.

Beginning May 1, 2014, statutory amendments go into effect that require the registration of those seeking to become certified civil celebrants permitted to perform/solemnize non-denominational marriages and civil unions.
